As a GBRCOC member, we love having access to and the support of over 1500 fellow chamber members.

Whether we host a local Boca event, of which there are several, or produce our signature Denim & Diamonds Gala in October, Deliver the Dream is grateful for the Boca Raton Chamber's reach, strength, and as the unifying voice for business, corporate giving and volunteerism. Throughout my sixteen years as a Boca Raton educator, I have been involved in career education partnerships with the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce.  As a Leadership Boca graduate and a Chamber Ambassador, I was given the valuable opportunity to network with business leaders who volunteered their time, talent and resources to help our students.

At Omni Middle School , we received a Golden Bell Education Foundation job shadowing grant.  At both Olympic Heights and West Boca Raton High School , the Chamber participated in our “Success At Work Program,” providing mentors to teach employability skills.  The Chamber supports the Academy programs of West Boca High, by serving as members of our Community Academies Advisory Board.  The Chamber also sponsors the West Boca High Chapter of the National Technical Honor Society, whose members volunteer at Chamber functions.

In 2005, I was honored to receive the distinction of being named the first educator to receive the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce “Person of the Year.”    For their role in preparing our students to enter a dynamic global economy, the Boca Chamber earned the Palm Beach County Superintendent’s Business Partnership Award and the Florida Commissioner of Education’s Partnership Award.  These awards have been instrumental in promoting volunteerism.  As a member of the Boca Chamber, you too have the valuable opportunity to offer your expertise as our partner in education!

I strongly believe in The Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce and its mission to provide leadership, networking, innovative business programs, and community opportunities. Upon accepting my March of Dimes position in 2000, I joined the Boca Raton Chamber which proved influential in both my professional and personal life.

As in every line of business, goals were set. Being actively involved in chamber programs and activities has made all the difference in our goal to increase mission awareness and raise funds to promote that mission.

My personal favorite, Leadership Boca, developed business and personal relationships that continue to make difference. In my six years, more than $500,000 has been raised as a direct result from fostering the relationships made on the Leadership bus.

One prime example is with “Baseball Brian” Molloy who brought on board our #1 WalkAmerica Team - Bank of America. Their participation started with a team of 10 raising approximately $1000 and has to date raised over $269,000 to support our mission to save babies lives! 

Return on investment in The Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce can not be quantified in just dollars and cents, it’s the friendships and relationships built that insure success.
